Step into Sydney’s newest neighbourhood
Sydneysiders and visitors to the harbour city are invited to discover Barangaroo’s new urban neighbourhood, The Streets of Barangaroo, being created by Lendlease. Introducing an innovative precinct which is redefining the city by offering the perfect combination of food, culture and relaxation.
Still developing into a neighbourhood that will offer approximately 80 retail experiences by the end of 2016, including approximately 50 food and beverage flavours and experiences, The Streets of Barangaroo have been quietly coming to life.
Discover The Avenue, your destination for artisan experiences and genuine tastes that is home already to small hole-in-the-wall coffee shops such as Bourke Street Bakery and Micro by Coffee Alchemy as well as foodie mecca The Canteen. The Canteen offers ten eateries featuring cuisine from around the globe. From spice-fueled exotic Asian street-food, to the comforting, simple pleasures of Mediterranean and the surprising, wild ride of authentic Mexican food, The Canteen is a sophisticated collection of international fare and is a focal point for the working community already based on The Streets of Barangaroo.
Explore the restored waterfront of Wulugul Walk; a harbourside promenade that will be transformed by late November to an urban city lifestyle hub known as Wulugul Pop Up. Wulugul Pop Up will fuse together innovative, creative spaces with pockets of green, and timeless relaxation zones nestled beside the cities coolest food and drink operators.
On The Streets of Barangaroo, harbourside living is also redefined with two breathtaking residential buildings, Anadara and Alexander, each with their own distinct character. The precinct will also house three commercial buildings known as International Towers Sydney, the new address for some of Australia’s most progressive companies – our first commercial tenant, Westpac, is already enjoying their new neighbourhood. Both the residential and commercial buildings showcase world-leading design and are built on a foundation of futuristic sustainability.
The best way to appreciate the intriguing tapestry within The Streets of Barangaroo is by taking a walking tour. Discover the meaningful development of the streets that now weave throughout Sydney’s newest neighbourhood. Hosted by Lendlease and showcasing Sydney Theatre Company actors, visitors will enjoy stories recounting the history of Barangaroo, and behind-the-scenes insights on the innovative architecture and sustainability initiatives that exist in one of the world’s leading urban renewal precincts.
